03 Feb Why Attending Church is Important
Attending church is one of the most main practice of being a Christian. We’re going to list why it is so important to attend church.
Grace is having more favor in the eyes of God. In order to receive blessings from you need to obtain grace. Out of the fullness of his grace he has blessed us all, giving us one blessing after another. – John 1:16. More the grace you have the more your environment will change for the better. Every pastor of the church has a grace that is shared among the church members.
2. God Is There
The more people gather to praise God, the more strong his presence is there, which is the Holy Spirit among each person. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20.
Attending to church helps the Christian community builds stronger because you are gathering and worshiping God together. You can find good friends at church. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. – Hebrews 10:25.
4. The Holy Spirit Speaks through Preachers
The Holy Spirit leads man of God to preach the gospel for the demographic of the church (1 Corinthians 2:16) . For example some people might attend church with their hearts wanting more about Jesus crucifixion. Then the pastor would preach about the crucifixion of Jesus and how it affects your lives. This is why some people feel like that pastor is talking directly to them when they preach because God knows what it’s your heart.
You can know more about the Bible through listening to the preacher. It is always good to hear another perspective of the Bible from a man of God. You also have a time to ask questions after the service to the preacher. The pastor can even prophesy to you and your family as well if he has the prophetic gift. There are others in the church who have different spiritual gifts and knowledge that can help. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17.
God loves people who sacrifice their time to worship him in his house. Not only that, tithing is a good way to show sacrifice similar to the Israelites. The people of Israel and Judah who lived in the towns of Judah also brought a tithe of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things dedicated to the LORD their God, and they piled them in heaps – 2 Chronicles 31: 6. Even the Pharisees know that you should give a 10% of your income to God. ‘I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ – Luke 18:11.
7. Defeat the Enemies
Another way to get rid of the demons destroying your lives is going to church especially if it is a deliverance church. You might struggle with going to church because there is a demonic spirit attached to you preventing you to go there. Once you start going to church, this evil spirit will flee. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7.
