hell facts

Most believe that Hell doesn’t exist. Some think Hell is a state of conscience but it is a real place in the spiritual realm. Here are some facts about Hell.

1. Most Will Go There

Jesus Christ told his disciples that most people will be going to Hell. “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” – Matthew 7:13-14. This might shock many because the popular heresy is that many will go to Heaven because there are many ways to God. However the only way to Heaven is the blood of Jesus Christ (John 14:6, Revelation 12:11). Read more here.

2. Punishment Varies

The Bible makes it clear in several scriptures that God repays the wicked according to their actions (Isaiah 59:18, Deuteronomy 7:10, Jeremiah 16:18, Colossians 3:25). People who did not know about Christ will be punished less severely than the ones who knew and still live a sinful life (Luke 12:47-48). Judas is suffering a more severe punishment that anyone on Earth due to his betrayal (Matthew 26:24). People who deliberately caused a Christian to sin will have a more severe punishment than the Christian who sinned (Luke 17:1-2). False teachers will have a more severe punishment than the sheep he or she led astray (Jeremiah 23:1-2, 2 Peter 2:10-12). There are different torture devices demons use to torment people such as claws, fire, fake escape routes, hanging poles, etc.

3. Awaiting Judgement

People who are in Hell are in prison with tormenting demons until they are tossed in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:14). The first death is Hell. The second death is the Lake of Fire. The fire from the Lake of Fire is eternal and hotter than Hell because it was prepared for Satan and his kingdom (Matthew 25:41).

4. Demons Are There

Demons who did not stay in their proper dwelling places are in a darker compartment of Hell reserved only for fallen angels to be tortured (Jude 1:6, 2 Peter 2:4). The demons who are in this compartment of Hell look like industrial machines. The demons who are the tormentors in Hell are not Satan’s demons but were there before hand.

5. Heart of the Earth

hell heart of earth

Hell is located spiritually in the heart of the Earth (Matthew 12:40). Hell spiritually consists of the lower mantle and the core of the Earth.

6. Rivers of Lava and Volcanoes

There are several volcanoes in Hell in which rivers flow out of it. These rivers of lava run throughout Hell and contain countless souls. Some souls sunk at the bottom and some float on top. Beside these rivers are demons with pitchforks poking around to bring out souls in order to torment them. These rivers are contrary to the river of life in New Jerusalem (Revelation 22:1-2).

7. Compartments

There are several compartments in Hell that are separate from each other. For example one compartment of Hell contains a huge hourglass with lava. However it is separate from the compartment where souls hang in an assembly line waiting to be drop in a room full of flesh eating demons. A tormenting demon nor a soul can not simply move from one compartment to another. The only people who can move from one compartment to another are angels and God.

8. Gates of Hell

There are twelve gates of Hell (Matthew 16:18). Some gates of Hell looks similar until you walk inside the gate. Some gates are similar to metro with trains of new people entering Hell. Contrary to the New Jerusalem, the gates of Hell does not have high walls (Revelation 21:12). Easy to walk in but once you’re in the gate transform into a wall and you can not escape.

“Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” – Matthew 3:2.
