17 May Scriptures on God’s Promises
1. Ask Whatever You Wish
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. – John 15:7.
2. Ask For Anything
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. – John 14:13-14.
3. God Cares
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. – 1 Peter 5:7.
The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him. – Nahum 1:7.
4. Seek & You Will Find
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” – Matthew 7:7.
5. Father Give Good Gifts
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. – James 1:17.
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! – Matthew 7:11.
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? – Romans 8:32.
6. Supply All Your Needs
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:19.
7. Grace Abound To You
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. – 2 Corinthians 9:8.
8. Have Life Abundantly
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. – John 10:10.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12.
9. Lack Nothing
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not lack. – Psalm 23:1.
The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. – Psalm 34:10.
10. Seek Him First
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33.
11. Restoration
I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. – Joel 2:25.
12. Spirit on All Flesh
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. – Joel 2:28.
13. Expectation
For surely there is a future hope; and your expectation shall not be cut off. – Proverbs 23:18.
14. Hope & A Future
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11.
15. Inherit the Land
The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever. – Psalm 37:29.
16. Extension of Salvation
But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children. – Psalm 103:17.
17. God’s Word
So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11.
18. Prepare A Table
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. – Psalm 23:5.
19. Never be Put to Shame
No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. – Psalm 25:3.
20. Secrets
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. – Jeremiah 33:3.
21. Deliverance
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me. – Psalm 50:15.
22. Nothing is Too Hard
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? – Jeremiah 32:27.
23. Complete the Good Work
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6.
24. Call on the Name of the Lord
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” – Romans 10:13.
25. Never Leave or Forsake You
No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. – Joshua 1:5.
26. Place in Heaven
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. – John 14:3.
27. Children of the Most High
I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High. – Psalm 82:6.
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. – Galatians 4:4-5.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. – 1 John 5:1.
28. The Holy Spirit
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. – John 14:26.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. – John 14:16.
29. Eternal Life
And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment. – John 3:36.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. – John 11:25.
30. New Strength
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. – Isaiah 41:10.
31. Burden
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:29-30.
32. Wisdom
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. – James 1:5.
33. Forgiveness
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9
You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. – Psalm 86:5.
34. Free Indeed
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. – John 8:36.
35. Tithing
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. – Malachi 3:10.
36. Ask In Prayer
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. – Mark 11:24.
37. Dwell in the House of the Lord
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. – Psalm 23:6.
38. Delight in the Lord
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. – Psalm 37:4.
39. Over comer
He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. – Revelation 3:5.
40. All Things Working for Good
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28.
41. With God All Things Are Possible
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” – Matthew 19:26.
42. Peace
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27.
43. Guidance
In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:6.
44. Healing
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. – Isaiah 53:5.
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’ – Jeremiah 30:17.
Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. – James 5:14-15.
45. He Knows
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. – Matthew 6:31-32.
46. No Condemnation
For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. – Psalm 16:10.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. – Romans 8:1-2.
47. Angels
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? – Hebrews 1:14.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. – Psalm 91:11-12.
48. Reign for 1000 Years
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. – Revelation 20:6.
49. God is Just
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you. – 2 Thessalonians 1:6.
“There is no peace,” says the LORD, “for the wicked.” – Isaiah 48:22.
The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. – Psalm 19:7.
50. His Love Endures Forever
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. – 1 Chronicles 16:34.
For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. – Psalm 100:5.
