05 Jan The Dangers of Suicide
Are you thinking about suicide? Harming yourself and others? Read this first before making a final decision. We will list 7 reasons why suicide is not the answer.
1. Your Worth
Your soul is worth more than anything on this Earth (Matthew 16:26). So you are worth more than your issues.
2. You’re Not Alone
You are not the only one who deals with suicidal thoughts. There are many forums and support groups available more than ever.
3. Suicidal Thoughts Are Spiritual Attacks
Suicidal thoughts are from the Kingdom of Satan. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. – Ephesians 6:12. Demons get pure joy from our misery. They love send nasty thoughts in your mind to make you miserable, hopeless, and suicidal.
4. Life Purpose
You still have a life purpose to fulfill. God gives everyone a life purpose to fulfill before he created the foundation of the Earth (Jeremiah 1:5, Ephesians 1:4). If you kill yourself now, you will miss out on doing something you were born to do thus being truly happy.
5. It Gets Better
Whenever you think you will never get better, think of when things were good in your life. Every thing is temporary from happiness, depression, anger, etc. Every time you get through each problem, you develop perseverance (James 1:2-4).
Once you commit suicide, you will enter straight to Hell. It doesn’t matter if you were a good person or a devoted Christian. Since suicide is consider murder. Murder is sin (Deuteronomy 5:17). Once you’re in Hell, you are living in never ending torture forever (Isaiah 33:14). Nothing is worth going to Hell for (Matthew 5:30).
There are people who cares about you that if you die, they will be in so much grief. There are people destined to meet you that will not because you have taken your life. As Christians we have to follow two commandments:
- Love God With All Your Heart
- Love Everyone As You Would Love Yourself
If you love God and everyone else, you will not kill yourself but think of the lives of others. If you think that the world would be fine without you, think again. If God can use former criminals to spread the gospel, he can use you too.
