Coronavirus: A Time of Self Reflection

What is the Coronavirus or COVID-19? It is a spirit of infirmity released for the end times as a sign for Christ’s second coming. Jesus Christ told this to his disciples almost 2000 years ago. “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be violent earthquakes, and in various places famines and [deadly and devastating] pestilences (plagues, epidemics); and there will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven. – Luke 21:10-11.

What has Coronavirus taught us?

This virus taught us that we can’t put our trust on anything in this world for stability. We can’t put our trust on people, money, government, or our own understanding. Even though Coronavirus has been around since November 2019, the Chinese government had not made it known to the public until January thus starting this epidemic. Different age, classes, and race of people are infected by the virus, including celebrities.

As a result of the virus, more restrictions are place in different countries such as closing bars, restaurants, schools, stadiums, churches, etc. People are buying toilet paper & other household supplies just to resell them for ridiculously high prices. One Canadian couple states they made $70,000 reselling sanitary wipes for $64 per package.

Time of Self-Reflection

This is the time to self evaluate ourselves. Are we living a life that pleases God? Do people see Jesus Christ in us? Do we seek God with all of our hearts? Do we have distractions in our lives that affects our walk with God? These are the questions as Christians that we need to ask ourselves at this time.

God is Looking for Vessels

God is looking for people to use as his vessels. Being that this is the end times, we need to be ready to tell God, “BREAK US, MOLD US, AND USE US”. Since Christianity doesn’t stop when we accept Jesus Christ in our hearts and baptism. It is just the beginning. We need to do things that is pleasing to God such as fasting, praying, reading the Bible, and not mingling with the things of this world.

Fear Not

Fear not for God is with us and will help us through the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 41:10, John 14:26). This virus can not harm us as Christians because we have the Holy Spirit in us (1 John 4:4). No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper… – Isaiah 54:17. Even though we are going through tribulation, God will not let us perish since we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior (John 3:36).

Let us use this time to read the Bible and ask seek God’s face. “But be on guard, so that your hearts are not weighed down and depressed with the giddiness of debauchery and the nausea of self-indulgence and the worldly worries of life, and then that day [when the Messiah returns] will not come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who live on the face of all the earth. But keep alert at all times [be attentive and ready], praying that you may have the strength and ability [to be found worthy and] to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man [at His coming].” – Luke 21:34-36.
