13 Oct Why Everyone Needs Deliverance
What is deliverance? The dictionary defines deliverance as the action of being rescued or set free. Everyone by default is born into this world as a slave to sin due to Adam’s sin (Romans 5:12). Sin belongs to Satan and his kingdom because he was one of the first angels to sin. So whenever you sin, you are giving Satan legal rights over your life and possessions including your children (1 John 3:8). This is why the Bible states, The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out. – John 12:31. Some Christians believe that we don’t need deliverance after Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Some Christians believe only non-believers need deliverance. However we all need deliverance.
Our Problems Are Spiritual
The Bible makes it clear that our problems are not physical but spiritual (Ephesians 6:12). Since our God is a spirit, the spiritual realm dictates what happens in our world (Colossians 1:16). This is why some people get visions of the future including the prophets in the Bible. All problems we face are controlled by an evil force in the spiritual realm.
Why do Christians need deliverance?
Christians can be occupied by one or more evil spirits. The reason for this is due to the legality a spirit has over someone. Evil spirits can have legality over someone by sin, ungodly soul ties, spiritual marriage, ancestral foundation, and curses. This is why as Christians we may face ongoing problems and repeated sins. We need to shut all open doors so the enemies won’t keep popping up in our lives.
What happens after deliverance?
People who have been delivered describe their experience as having a weight fall off of them. They feel more free and their lives change forever. For it is written, So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. – John 8:36.
