Scriptures for Spiritual Warfare

When you’re under spiritual attack, you will always have to fight back. With these scriptures you can fight back Satan and his demons. You can use these scriptures during spiritual warfare prayers. Demons answer to fire but principalities answer to the word of God.


1. No Weapons Form Against Me Shall Prosper

“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD. – Isaiah 54:17


2. Authority over Demons

  • I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. – Luke 10:19
  • I say, ‘You are gods; you are all children of the Most High’. – Psalm 82:6
  • You will tread on the lion and cobra; you will trample the young lion and serpent. – Psalm 91:13


3. Contend Lord

Contend, Lord , with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me.  Take up shield and armor; arise and come to my aid.  Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to me, “I am your salvation.”  May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay.  May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them away;  may their path be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them. – Psalm 35:1‭-‬6


4. Angels Guard Our Ways

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. – Psalm 91-11


5. The Lord Will Protect

  • But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. – 2 Thessalonians 3:3
  • No evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. – Psalm 91:10-12
  • “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” – Psalm 91:14-16
  • The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry. – Psalm 34:15


6. Put on the Full Armor of God

  • Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. – Ephesians 6:11
  • Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, – Ephesians 6:14
  • And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. – Ephesians 6:15
  • In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. – Ephesians 6:16
  • Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. – Ephesians 6:17


7. More than Conquerors

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. – Romans 8:37


8. Nothing At All

Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. – Isaiah 41:12


9. Gift of Sound Mind

For God had not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:7.


10. Like A Warrior

The Lord will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies. – Isaiah 42:13


11. Enemies Will Flee

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. – Deuteronomy 28:7


12. Destroy Strongholds

We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds. – 2 Corinthians 10:3-4


13. Eat Their Own Flesh

I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” – Isaiah 49:26


14. Threshing Instrument

You will be a new threshing instrument with many sharp teeth. You will tear your enemies apart, making chaff of mountains. – Isaiah 41:15


15. Bring Rulers to Naught

He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. – Isaiah 40:23


16. Set Me Free From Prison

Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me. – Psalm 142:7.


17. Protect Me From Violence

Rescue me, Lord , from evildoers; protect me from the violent, who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Keep me safe, LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from the violent, who devise ways to trip my feet. – Psalm 140:1-4


18. Down Into the Pit

  • The wicked go down to the realm of the dead, all the nations that forget God. – Psalm 9:17
  • The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. – Psalm 147:6
  • May burning coals fall on them; may they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise. – Psalm 140:10
  • May ruin overtake them by surprise– may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin. – Psalm 35:8
  • Whoever digs a pit may fall into it; whoever breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake. – Ecclesiastes 10:8
  • But you, God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of decay; the bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you. – Psalm 55:23
  • Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made. – Psalm 7:15


19. Flames of Fire

He makes his messengers winds; his servants flames of fire. – Psalm 104:4


20. Arise Lord

  • Arise, O LORD! Punish the wicked, O God! Do not ignore the helpless! – Psalm 10:12
  • Arise, LORD, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice. – Psalm 7:6
  • Arise, LORD! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. – Psalm 3:7
  • Arise, O LORD! Stand against them, and bring them to their knees! Rescue me from the wicked with your sword! – Psalm 17:13


21. Backfire

  • The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads. – Psalm 7:15-1619.
  • Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out falls into the pit they have made. – Psalm 7:15


22. Fortified City

For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. – Jeremiah 1:18.


23. Before my Enemies

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. – Psalm 23:5


24. Put to Shame

  • Let me not be put to shame, LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead. – Psalm 31:17
  • I hold fast to your statutes, LORD; do not let me be put to shame. – Psalm 119:31
  • No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. – Psalm 25:3
  • Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. – Psalm 127:5
  • May all who gloat over my distress be put to shame and confusion; may all who exalt themselves over me be clothed with shame and disgrace. – Psalm 35:26
  • May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay. – Psalm 35:4
  • All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame. – Psalm 6:10
  • I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. – Psalm 25:2
  • Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. – Psalm 25:20
  • In you, Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. – Psalm 31:1
  • While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice. – Psalm 109:28
  • May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts. – Psalm 119:78
  • May those who want to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace. – Psalm 70:2


25. Expectation

  • For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. – Proverbs 23:18
  • The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. – Proverbs 10:28


26. Bind The Enemies

  • “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” – Matthew 16:19
  • “Let me illustrate this further. Who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man like Satan and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger–someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.” – Mark 3:27
